Fixing common domain (DNS) issues

Why a domain “isn’t working yet” — and the usual quick fixes.

Fixing common domain (DNS) issues

When a new domain doesn’t load, it’s almost never broken — it’s usually waiting or slightly misconfigured. DNS changes can take a little time to spread.

The usual suspects are simple:

  1. You added the record to the wrong place (registrar vs DNS host).
  2. A typo in the record’s value.
  3. Both the bare domain and www aren’t pointed — set both.
  4. It’s just propagating — give it up to a few hours.

In Ebni, the Domains tab shows the exact records to copy and a Verify button that checks them for you, so you’re not guessing.
