SEO basics: get found by local customers
The handful of things that actually move you up in local search — no jargon.
SEO sounds like a dark art, but for a local business most of the wins are simple and one-time. You do not need to chase algorithms — you need to be clear about who you are, what you sell, and where you are.
Start with the basics Ebni already handles or makes easy:
- Give every page a clear title and description — say the service and the city, e.g. “Bakery in Zamalek, Cairo”.
- Write in the language your customers search in. Bilingual pages let you rank in both Arabic and English.
- Add your real address, phone and opening hours — the signals local search cares about most.
- Use your own domain and keep the site fast on mobile; both are ranking factors search engines reward.
Then feed it steadily. A blog post or a new product page every couple of weeks tells search engines your site is alive and gives you more ways to be found — this very page is an example.
Do not obsess over tricks. Clear titles, honest local details, genuine content, and a fast bilingual site beat any keyword-stuffing hack — and they are exactly what earns a customer’s trust once they land.
